#Dates are for an example year end of Dec 31, 2025. Where local law moves a deadline on a weekend or national public holiday to the next working day, the date shown is already moved. Use the Deadlines tool for your own year end and thresholds.

The law
#Argentina has no stand-alone transfer pricing act. The rules sit in the Income Tax Law (Ley 20.628, consolidated text 2019 by Decreto 824/2019): article 9 for imports and exports, article 16 for permanent establishments and article 17 for transfer pricing, with related parties defined in article 18 and non-cooperating and low or no tax jurisdictions in articles 19 and 20. Dealings with related parties abroad are treated as arm's length only if their terms follow normal market practice between independent parties, and if not they are adjusted under article 17. Dealings with non-cooperating or low or no tax jurisdictions are never treated as arm's length. The regulation is Decreto 862/2019 (mainly articles 14, 24, 25 and 29 to 55). The tax authority is ARCA, which replaced AFIP, and since 30 September 2026 the filing rules are in General Resolution 5903/2026, which replaces RG 4717/2020 for fiscal years that start on or after 1 October 2026.
Documentation
#A taxpayer above the limits files a Transfer Pricing Study (the local file, certified by an independent accountant and sent with Form F. 4501), the sworn return Form F. 2668, and, for large groups, a Master File (Form F. 2673) or a ratification note. For fiscal years that started before 1 October 2026 (RG 4717): the study is due if related-party or tax-haven transactions top ARS 150m in total or ARS 15m for one item, Form F. 2668 has the same limits plus ARS 500m for imports and exports with independent parties, and the Master File needs group revenue above ARS 100,000m and related-party transactions above ARS 150m. For years starting on or after 1 October 2026 (RG 5903): the study needs ARS 3,000m in total or ARS 600m for one item, Form F. 2668 needs ARS 1,500m in total, ARS 300m for one item or ARS 7,500m of independent trade, and the Master File needs group revenue above ARS 500,000m and related-party transactions above ARS 3,000m. All these amounts will be indexed to October inflation from fiscal years starting on 1 January 2028. Due dates follow the last digit of the CUIT: the study and Form F. 2668 are due in the 6th month after year end on days 23 to 27 under RG 4717, and in the 7th month on days 2 to 6 under RG 5903, while the Master File is due in the 12th month on days 23 to 27 under both; this site shows the earliest day. Smaller taxpayers that pass the tests in RG 5903 art. 64 can use the simplified Form F. 2672 instead, and all records must be kept at the tax address.
Methods
#Article 17 of the law lists five methods: comparable price between independent parties, resale price, cost plus, profit split and transactional net margin. Other methods are allowed for unique assets with no comparables (Decreto 862/2019 art. 29(f)). There is no fixed order, since the most appropriate method is the one that best shows the economic reality, judged by fit with the business, data quality, comparability and the number of adjustments needed (art. 30), but the comparable price method is the one for quoted goods (art. 31). With two or more comparables the median and interquartile range are worked out, and a result inside the range is accepted while one outside it is replaced by the median (art. 42, reworded by Decreto 767/2025 for years closing from 29 October 2025). RG 5903 does not accept price averages for the tested transactions or random samples of them, and in principle excludes loss-making comparables (arts. 8, 38 and 40). It also offers an optional 5% mark-up on costs for low value-added services, if conditions are met (arts. 17 and 18). A downward adjustment cannot be taken in the return unless it comes from a mutual agreement procedure (art. 48).
Penalties
#Failing to file the related-party detail return on time is fined ARS 11m, or ARS 22m for companies, and failing to give data requested for the control of international operations, or to keep the price evidence, is fined up to ARS 35m (Ley 11.683 arts. 39 and the articles after art. 38). A missing, late or poor CbC report is fined ARS 45m to ARS 67.5m, and failing to report group membership ARS 6m to ARS 15m. Tax underpaid because of an adjustment is fined 100% of the tax (art. 45), or 200% when the shortfall comes from dealings with any person or entity abroad. Repeat offences raise these to 200% and 300%. Fraud is fined 2 to 6 times the tax (art. 46). A late income tax return is fined ARS 440,000 for companies (art. 38). The amounts were raised by Law 27.799 (published 2 January 2026), and non-compliance also raises the taxpayer's audit risk score (SIPER).
Pillar Two
#Argentina has not enacted Pillar Two. No income inclusion rule, undertaxed profits rule or domestic minimum top-up tax is in force, and the only proposal found is a 2023 member's bill (expediente 3978-D-2023) with no sign of passage. So there is no GloBE filing or payment deadline for Argentine entities. Check again before relying on this, because several countries are still adding rules.
Other rules
#Interest on loans from related parties is deductible only up to the larger of an annual amount set by the Executive or 30% of net profit before interest and depreciation, with the excess carried forward for 5 years (Income Tax Law art. 85 a). Royalties for trademarks and patents owned by foreign parties are deductible only up to limits set by the regulation (art. 92 m; Decreto 862/2019 art. 229). Exports of quoted goods through an international intermediary must be registered, and if not, the income is set at the quotation on the loading day (art. 17; RG 5872/2026). No unilateral advance pricing agreement procedure was found; relief comes from mutual agreement procedures under the tax treaties. Argentine entities of any multinational group must register the group with ARCA each year (Form F. 8096), even if the group is below the CbC limit.
Filings and deadlines
#| # | Filing | When | Who | Source |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | CbC registration of the group (Form F. 8096, 'Empadronamiento') Each Argentine entity gives the data on the ultimate parent and the reporting entity by the last business day of the 3rd month after the year end of the ultimate parent entity (RG 4130 art. 8). Filed in the 'Régimen de Información País por País' service; the system issues Form F. 8096. Omitting it is fined ARS 6m to ARS 15m for groups above the revenue limit, and ARS 1.125m to ARS 5.25m for smaller groups (Ley 11.683, article after art. 39). The date is a last business day, so the tool does not roll it forward; it is calculated with Argentine national holidays, and Holy Thursday, tourist non-working days and decreed public-sector days off (24 and 31 December 2025) are treated as non-business days so the date is never too late. | Last business day of the 3rd month after the group's year end (e.g. Mar 31, 2026) | Every entity resident in Argentina that belongs to a multinational enterprise group, whatever the group's size. The revenue test only decides who files the report itself. | Resolución General 4130/2017, arts. 7 and 8 (texto actualizado) |
| 2 | Corporate income tax return (Ganancias sociedades, Form F. 713) Return and payment of the balance are due in the 5th month after the fiscal year end, on a day set by the last digit of the CUIT: day 13 for 0 to 3, day 14 for 4 to 6 and day 15 for 7 to 9 (RG 3077 art. 6; agenda in RG 4172, repeated in ARCA's yearly calendar). The tool shows day 13, the earliest. A due date on a holiday or non-working day, and the later ones, move to the next working days (RG 4172 art. 2). A late return is fined ARS 440,000 for companies (Ley 11.683 art. 38). | Day 13 of the 5th month after year end (e.g. May 13, 2026) | All companies and other entities under article 53 a) to d) of the Income Tax Law that keep commercial accounts. | Resolución General (AFIP) 3077/2011, art. 6 (texto actualizado) |
| 3 | Advance notice for the profit split method The notice goes through the 'Presentaciones Digitales' service (procedure 'Precios de transferencia, Aplicación método de división de ganancias') within the 5th month after year end, so the date is the last day of that month (RG 5903 art. 45; Decreto 862/2019 art. 29(d)). For years that started before 1 Oct 2026, RG 4717 arts. 33 and 34 set the same month for the profit split and 'other methods' notices. The date is not moved for weekends because the filing is online; if the last day is a weekend or holiday, filing by the last working day before it is the safe choice. | Day 31 of the 5th month after year end (e.g. May 31, 2026) (a Sunday: may move to the next working day) | Only taxpayers that use the profit split method with significant intangibles. Under RG 4717 the same notice was also needed for 'other methods'. | Resolución General (ARCA) 5903/2026, art. 45 |
| 4 | Transfer Pricing Study (Estudio de Precios de Transferencia, Form F. 4501) The study (Annex I of the resolution) is sent with Form F. 4501, certified by an independent accountant and the professional council. For years that started before 1 Oct 2026 it is due in the 6th month after year end, on day 23 (CUIT 0 or 1), 24 (2 or 3), 25 (4 or 5), 26 (6 or 7) or 27 (8 or 9). For years starting on or after 1 Oct 2026 it is due in the 7th month, on day 2 (CUIT 0 or 1), 3, 4, 5 or 6 (CUIT 8 or 9). The tool shows the earliest day for each year end and assumes a 12-month year. A date on a holiday or non-working day, and the later ones, move to the next working days (RG 5903 art. 70). | Earliest CUIT day: day 23 of the 6th month after year end (RG 4717, years that started before 1 Oct 2026) or day 2 of the 7th month (RG 5903, years starting on or after 1 Oct 2026) (e.g. Jun 23, 2026) | Taxpayers with transactions with related parties abroad or with non-cooperating or low or no tax jurisdictions. Years that started before 1 Oct 2026 (RG 4717): total above ARS 150m, or ARS 15m for a single transaction type. Years starting on or after 1 Oct 2026 (RG 5903 art. 60): total above ARS 3,000m, or ARS 600m for a single one. Members of groups that must file the CbC report and must file Form F. 2668 also file the study (art. 60 b). The tool uses the lowest figure, ARS 15m, so it never hides a filing. For years that closed before 31 October 2025, RG 4717 used lower amounts (ARS 3m total or ARS 300,000 single); those filings are all past due now. | Resolución General (ARCA) 5903/2026, art. 70 and art. 75 |
| 5 | International operations sworn return (Form F. 2668) Filed in the ARCA 'Operaciones Internacionales' service with a tax key (security level 3), on the same date as the Transfer Pricing Study. From years starting on or after 1 Oct 2026 the filer also answers the risk questions in Annex V of RG 5903. Late filing is fined ARS 11m, or ARS 22m for companies, for the related-party detail return, and ARS 1.5m or ARS 10m for the independent-trade return (Ley 11.683, articles after art. 38). | With Transfer Pricing Study (Estudio de Precios de Transferencia, Form F. 4501) (e.g. Jun 23, 2026) | Related-party and tax-haven transactions together above ARS 150m, or ARS 15m for a single one, or imports and exports with independent parties above ARS 500m (RG 4717, years that started before 1 Oct 2026). From years starting on or after 1 Oct 2026: ARS 1,500m together, ARS 300m single, or ARS 7,500m for independent imports and exports (RG 5903 art. 58). Anyone who filed it with activity in either of the last two years must file it marked 'sin movimientos' until two such returns in a row. The tool cannot test the independent-trade limit, so it always shows the form. | Resolución General (ARCA) 5903/2026, art. 70 and art. 75 |
| 6 | Simplified international operations regime (Form F. 2672, optional) A taxpayer that uses Form F. 2672 does not file the Transfer Pricing Study or Form F. 2668 (art. 68). It is due on the same date as the study. The regime applies only to fiscal years starting on or after 1 October 2026 (art. 75; RG 5903 was published on 30 September 2026). The tax authority can still ask for the study within 45 days if the transactions are above the study limits (art. 69). | With Transfer Pricing Study (Estudio de Precios de Transferencia, Form F. 4501) (e.g. Jun 23, 2026) | Optional for taxpayers who would otherwise file the study or Form F. 2668 and who pass the size and risk tests in RG 5903 art. 64: annual sales below the 'mediana tramo 1' SME ceiling with no losses, no restructuring and limited royalty, service and loan flows; or related-party transactions of 2.5% of sales or less; or independent imports and exports between ARS 7,500m and ARS 45,000m. Members of groups that must file a CbC report anywhere, and Master File filers, are excluded (art. 65). The tool cannot test this, so it always shows the form. | Resolución General (ARCA) 5903/2026, art. 70 and art. 75 |
| 7 | Master File (Informe Maestro, Form F. 2673) or ratification note Due in the 12th month after year end, on day 23 (CUIT 0 or 1), 24, 25, 26 or 27 (CUIT 8 or 9), in both the old and the new rules. The tool shows day 23, the earliest. It is filed with Form F. 2673 and signed by the legal representative; if nothing changed since the last master file, a sworn ratification note can replace it. A date on a holiday or non-working day, and the later ones, move to the next working days (RG 5903 art. 70). | Day 23 of the 12th month after year end (e.g. Dec 23, 2026) | Argentine entities with related-party transactions abroad that belong to a multinational group. Years that started before 1 Oct 2026 (RG 4717 art. 45): group revenue above ARS 100,000m in the prior year and related-party transactions above ARS 150m, or ARS 15m for a single one. Years starting on or after 1 Oct 2026 (RG 5903 art. 63): group revenue above ARS 500,000m and related-party transactions above ARS 3,000m, or ARS 600m for a single one. The tool uses the lower figures so it never hides a filing. | Resolución General (ARCA) 5903/2026, art. 70 and art. 75 |
| 8 | Country-by-country report (Informe País por País, Form F. 8097) Filed each year by the last business day of the 12th month after the ultimate parent's year end (RG 4130 art. 7). A resident constituent entity files only if the parent is not required to file, has no qualifying agreement in force with Argentina on the due date, or systematically fails to file. A missing, late or badly prepared report is fined ARS 45m to ARS 67.5m (Ley 11.683). The date is a last business day, so the tool does not roll it forward. If the government later declares the last weekday of the month a public-sector day off (as it did for 31 December 2025), the deadline moves one working day earlier. | Last business day of the 12th month after the group's year end (e.g. Dec 31, 2026) | Argentine ultimate parent, or a resident surrogate or constituent entity in the cases of RG 4130 art. 3, of groups with consolidated revenue of at least EUR 750m in the prior year (converted at the January 2015 rate if the group does not report in euros). | Resolución General 4130/2017, arts. 7 and 8 (texto actualizado) |
| 9 | Notice that the CbC report was filed abroad Resident entities say that the report was filed in the right tax jurisdiction by the last business day of the 2nd month after the report due date (RG 4130 art. 8, third paragraph). Omitting it is fined ARS 6m to ARS 15m (Ley 11.683). The date is a last business day, so the tool does not roll it forward. If the government later declares the last weekday of the month a public-sector day off (as it did for 31 December 2025), the deadline moves one working day earlier. | Last business day of the 2nd month after the CbC report due date (e.g. Feb 26, 2027) | Argentine entities of groups with consolidated revenue of at least EUR 750m whose CbC report is filed by another entity, for example a foreign parent or surrogate. | Resolución General 4130/2017, arts. 7 and 8 (texto actualizado) |
| 10 | Export contract registration for quoted goods (DJVE, Forms F. 2669, F. 2670 and F. 2671) Each contract is registered (a DJVE in 'salida' status for Law 21.453 goods, Form F. 2669 for other goods), and the complementary Form F. 2670 is due within 15 days after the DJVE approval or the F. 2669 registration. Without a timely F. 2670, the contract is treated as having no comparability differences. If the registration is missing or wrong, the Argentine income is set at the quotation on the loading day (Income Tax Law art. 17, 7th paragraph). There is no year-end date, so the tool lists it without one. | See note | Exporters of goods with a market quotation when an international intermediary is related, or is in a non-cooperating or low or no tax jurisdiction. Decreto 862/2019 art. 51 also extends the duty to article 9 exports of quoted goods. | ARCA: Registro de contratos (RG 5872/2026) |
